How Do I Hear From God in Real Life?/¿Como Me Habla Dios en la Vida Real?

Extract from sermon by Rev. Joshua Hahne. King of Kings Church, PCA, Goodyear, AZ

We hear from God through His world....
Natural revelation (nature): The whole of God's creation is revealing and speaks about God's glory, power, divine nature, awesomeness, righteousness, goodness, creativity and perfection and we experience it simply from living in this world and we are responsible for what we do in it.

We hear from God in His Word.
a. Specific revelation (Psalm 19:7-10)
b. The first five books of the Bible
c. His deeds
d. His Words (ex. The Ten Comandments)
e. Visions
f. Messages (oracles) to the prophets

There is no other way.
Jesus Christ says: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me.

My observations and notes:
The Bible is God's standard and a manual for us to follow and live by. The work of the Holy Spirit within us guides us, gives us wisdom and discernment and allows us to have an ongoing, personal, covenantal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Escuchamos y percibimos su presencia por doquier en su mundo....
Revelación natural en su perfecta naturaleza: La totalidad de su divina creación revela su presencia y nos habla de su gloria, poder, naturaleza divina, grandeza, su amor, misericordia, corrección, creatividad y perfección. Nosotros experimentamos todo eso simplemente viviendo en este mundo maravilloso y somos responsables de lo que hacemos en nuestra vida terrenal.

Escuchamos de El en su Palabra.

d. Sus palabras, ej. Los 10 Mandamientos

No hay otra manera.
Jesucristo dice: Yo soy El Camino, La Verdad y La Vida. Nadie viene al Padre, si no es por Mi.

Observaciones Personales:
La Biblia es el Manual y el Patrón de Dios para nosotros seguír y vivír. El Espíritu Santo dentro de nosotros nos guía y nos da discernimiento y sabiduría y nos permite tener una relación personal continua con Dios a travéz de Su Hijo Jesucristo.

WISDOM FOR PARENTING..

EVERY CHILD NEEDS FIVE THINGS FROM THEIR PARENTS/GRANDPARENTS

* Unconditional love
* Regular instructions: ex. spirituality, manners, civility, respect.
* Guidance, consistent discipline and correction.
* Praise in public, discipline in private. Never punish out of anger. Correct disobedience. Always  be there for your children.
* Give them a solid example for them to follow. They need to learn a strong value system.

PRACTICAL GUIDELINES FOR TODAY'S PARENTS:

*Teach children the difference between trust (earned) and love (unearned).
* Teach them to think critically.
* Teach them which things are worth fighting for.
* Pray for your kids and teach them how to pray.

LAS CINCO COSAS QUE TODOS LOS NIÑOS NECESITAN DE SUS PADRES/ABUELOS

* Amor incondicional.
* Instrucción constante: ej. Espiritualidad, buenos modales, buenos hábitos, civilidad, respeto
* Orientación, disciplina y corrección, alabanza en público, disciplina en privado. Nunca castigue cuando esté enojado, corrija la desobediencia. Apoye siempre a sus hijos.
* De un buen ejemplo, para que ellos puedan imitar. Ellos deben formar y aprender un sólido sistema de valores.

GUÍAS PRÁCTICAS PARA LOS PADRES;

* Enseñele a sus hijos cual es la diferencia entre tenerles confianza ( debe ganarse ) y amarles incondicionalmente.
* Enséñesle a que siempre piensen con sensatéz.
* Enséñesle cuales son las cosas por las que deben peléar.
* Siempre ore y reze por sus niños y enséñesle a que ellos también lo hagan.
