Así ha dicho Jehová: Maldito el varón que confía en el hombre, y pone carne por su brazo y su corazón se aparta de Jehová.....Bendito el varón que confía en Jehová, y cuya confianza es Jehová.......Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas, y perverso; ¿quién lo conocera? Yo Jehová, que escudriño la mente, que pruebo el corazón, para dar a cada uno según su camino, según el fruto de sus obras.Jeremías 17:5,7,10.
Durante muchos años el hombre ha mostrado su rebelión y su rechazo a Dios en el gobierno de las naciones, creyéndose superior a El. En muchos países hasta han tenido la osadía de legislar en sus Constituciones rechazando a Dios, el Creador del Universo y del hombre, ingerencia en el gobierno civil.
Las consecuencias de este esteril intento tarde o temprano siempre resultan en fracazo, destrucción y muerte. Lo mas lamentable es que durante el último siglo han sido naciones originalmente cristianas las que han asumido esta equivocada posición y ante ese escenario la iglesia cristiana en lugar de repudiar ese pecado ha permanecido tolerante, indiferente, irrelevante, temerosa y aún en ciertos casos ha sido complice.
El hombre en su voracidad por el poder, ha probado casi todo, yendo y viniendo de un extremo al otro sin percatarse, en su torpeza, que nunca ha logrado ni logrará solucionar sus problemas permanentemente, así la derecha, la izquierda, el capitalismo, el comunismo o socialismo, todas en manos del hombre pecador, nunca podrán terminar con la miseria, la explotación, la injusticia, la inseguridad y el pecado.
Ya es tiempo de que el hombre comprenda que el único y verdadero cambio y la trasformación de la miseria en prosperidad y bienestar, vendrá cuando nos arrepintamos de nuestros pecados e iniciemos una nueva jornada haciendo la voluntad de Dios y no la nuestra. Que en voz alta y arrodillados oremos diciendo:
Padre nuestro que estas en el Cielo, santificado séa tu nombre, Que venga tu Reino y que se haga tu voluntad en la tierra como se hace en el Cielo. Danos hoy el pan suficiente para este día. Perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también nosotros perdonamos a todos los que nos han hecho mal. No nos pongas a prueba, sino líbranos del mal. AMEN. Lucas 11:2-4

THE FAILURE OF MAN
Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD....Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD....The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. (Jeremiah 17:5,7,9,10)
For many years man has showed his rebellion by rejecting God in the governing of nations. He has believed himself to be superior to God and rejected interference in the civil government. Some countries have gone as far as to legislate rejection of God into their laws, denying Him, the Creator of the Universe and of mankind, any involvement in the civil government. The end result of this futile attitude sooner or later has always been the same; failure, destruction and death. The sad and unbelievable fact is that during the last century or so this has happened in nations fundamentally christian in their foundation. And even worse and more incomprehensible is the fact that many christian denominations, instead of rebuking this sin, have remained, indifferent, irrelevant and tolerant. And unhappily in some cases, churches have sponsored and participated in this sinful attitude.
Man, in his voracity for power, has tried just about everything, going back and forth from one extreme to the other blindly; the right, the center, the left, capitalism, socialism, communism. In every case exploitation, misery, insecurity, unhappiness and failure is the eventual result. He has not learned from his mistakes and has never been able to permanently solve the problems, blaming others for his mistakes and resorting to violence as a means to an end.
It is time that man understand that the only true change and transformation from poverty to prosperity and well-being will come when we submit ourselves to God and ask Him to forgive our sins, repent and start a new journey, a new way of life, doing things differently; doing the LORD's will and not our own. Let us get down on our knees and pray with sincerity the prayer that our LORD Jesus Christ taught us to say:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Matt. 6:8-13)

ACTIVISMO CRISTIANO
Un llamado a servir, ofreciendo una opción diferente y un verdadero cambio.
EL MUNDO EN CRISIS ¿ QUE PUEDO YO HACER?
PREGUNTAS:
¿Como se precipitó la crisis mundial presente?
¿Que relación tiene la destrucción de nuestra cultura y nuestra sociedad con la iglesia?
¿ Cual es mi papel como Cristiano?
¿ Como puedo yo encontrar mi propio ministerio?
PRONUNCIAMIENTOS:
*La situación imperante es un desafío, brindándonos la oportunidad de brillar y ser la sal y la luz en el mundo.
*Nuestro dilema no es el rapto, sino la obediencia.
*Como Creador nuestro, no existe ninguna actividad humana en la que no esté interesado o en la que no tenga participación Dios.
*Al nacer, venimos a un verdadero campo de batalla entre el bién (Dios) y el mal (satanás).
*Venimos al mundo a hacer la voluntad de Dios y no la nuestra.
*No podemos escapar sin haber completado nuestra taréa.
*La causa de los problemas del hombre no es Dios sino nuestra desobediencia.

WHAT HAPPENED TO CAPITALISM?
This devotional was sent to me by my good friend Robert Walters.
“Jesus said to the crowd, ‘Is a lamp acquired to be put under a bushel basket or hidden under a bed?”
Mark 4:21-22
God didn't love us so that we could hide His love from others. We have been loved to give it away. Jesus did not develop a spirituality that was to be hidden in the Church. The Eucharist is an awesome gift from God; but we are fed in the Eucharist in order to give it away.We can learn so much more about Jesus than we now understand; but we have been called to remake the earth in the image of God. Most of us will not perform great actions to change the world but we can do it one person at a time. It must begin in our families. There are so many people that are much nicer to strangers than they are to their own family. We have been called to create our families as families of God, families of love. Instead of taking each other for granted, we need to let each other know how precious they are and how much we appreciate them. When we praise one another's goodness we are really praising God from which the goodness comes.Just as communism is a system that destroyed its society from within because it was a materialistic system, capitalism can destroy us from within because it is a materialistic system. When I was a child Christians Christianized capitalism. The customer was always right; employers took care of their employees. In those days people could always trust the people that served them from the mechanic to the plumber. They never over charged or fixed things that didn't need fixing. Today we see the results of capitalism gone amuck. The greed and selfishness of so many have destroyed our economy. All of us who are involved with the public have been called to be servants, to treat others the way we should like to be treated. Those of you who have businesses have been called to serve your customers. Pagans work in order to make money; Christians work in order to serve others. The great irony is that if we serve others we will be very busy because people love to do business with people that they trust.The most important action that any of us can perform is how we love. We have been called to love others the way that God loves us.
Prayer for the day:
Father, help me to see how important I am to you so that you can transform our world. We pray this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

SICK PETS. Your Role.
It is important to prepare yourself when you seek medical attention for your pet at a veterinary clinic.
If your pet is going in for laboratory tests or surgery, ask if you should bring it on an empty stomach, until what time can it eat or drink before the appointment, if it should be allowed to eliminate and bring fresh samples when you come in or should you confine it and the samples taken at the clinic.
You should ask the veterinarian to show you how to give the medicines prescribed, when you should start medications, how often and for how long? Should they be refrigerated? shaken? Can they be mixed with some food or water?
Can the medications be discontinued after several days if you observe marked improvement?
What other care should you provide after returning home? How much activity or exercise should you allow?
Is it necessary to bring your pet back for a check up and if so, when?
Before coming to see the veterinarian you should make a list and come prepared to write down all the answers. You should also make a list of all the symptoms you have noticed and for how long have they been present.
The veterinarian wants to offer you and your pets good service, such as good nutritional advice, excellent vaccinations, preventive care as well as making your pet well when he is sick. Come prepared and take full advantage of your visit.

Jesus Christ, the Wonderful Counselor
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor....."
Why do we need this Wonderful Counselor?
Five powerful terms that reveal the need:
a. Gloom, depression.
b. Distress: stress to the maximum, unbearable anymore.
c. Darkness, ignorance, sorrow.
d. Destruction, decay.
e. Death: morally, emotionally, relationally, spiritually, physically.
Notice the therapy or counsel provided:
a. There will be release, closure.
b. There will be an increase of joy and happiness.
c. A great light will shine.
d. There will be fulfilment, hope and consolation.
What makes this Counselor so wonderful?
a. He knows exactly our needs.
b. He understands our needs.
c. He cares for us.
d. He is available anytime and all the time.
e. The price is right.
f. He has all power and wisdom. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM.
How does He provides His Counsel?
a. We secures His Counsel through the Bible which becomes alive as we read and meditate upon it.
b. Through Providence, guidance and divine coincidences.
c. Through the Holy Spirit that dwell in us.
d. Through other believers and other people.
